    Ski vacation in the mountains

    Skiing, snowboarding & touring

Do you love the sound that powder snow makes under your skis as you turn? Do you enjoy making your own tracks in the snow with your carvers? Are you an artist with a snowboard? Or would you rather climb the mountain without a cable car? Skiing on untouched deep snow slopes “gives you mountains”? However and wherever you want to ski or snowboard – in Salzburg’s Pinzgau you will find the right ski area or the right destinations for your ski tour.

From the Seecamp campsite, the ski bus takes you directly to the cable car in the “Schmitten” ski area in Zell am See in just a few minutes. The “Schmitten” ski area offers around 77 kilometers of slopes and 28 lifts for your skiing days. For skiers who want to ski away from the groomed slopes, there are 7 ski routes available in the Schmitten area alone. For ski and snowboard acrobats there is a “Snowpark” and “Funslope XXL” in the ski area.

A special “treat” is the “Ski ALPIN CARD”. With this you can ski not only in the Schmitten ski area, but also in the Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang-Fieberbrunn and in the Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski area. This means you have a total of 410 kilometers of slopes and 121 lifts at your disposal.

The ski area “Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang-Fieberbrunn” is only 18 kilometers (20 minutes by car) away. One of the largest ski areas in Europe awaits you here with 270 kilometers of slopes, 70 lifts and around 60 ski huts.

The Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski area is only 12 kilometers (15 minutes by car) away. The glacier offers 63 kilometers of slopes and 23 lifts and is open almost all year round. A special experience.

In addition to tours in the open terrain, there are also ski tours along the ski slopes for ski tourers. Here you can go to the mountain station and then ski back down to the valley on the groomed slope. If you are an experienced ski tourer, you will find many signposted ski tours in the region where you can ski down almost untouched deep snow slopes.

If you are a beginner in skiing or simply want to expand your skills, there are of course many state-certified ski instructors available in the region. If you don’t have it, you can rent or purchase the appropriate equipment in many sports shops.
