Experience the most beautiful weeks of the year in one of the most scenic areas in Austria, if not Europe.

Whether spring, summer, autumn or winter – our “Seecamp Zell am See”, newly built in 2024 in the beautiful Salzburger Land, is always the perfect place for a break in the mountains. Our campsite – one of the best places in Europe – is located directly on Lake Zell, one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in the Alps.

In the warm months you can enjoy the view of the dark blue lake, the green Pinzgau grassy mountains, the imposing mountains of the Alps and the snow-capped, white glacier, the famous Kitzsteinhorn.

In the winter months, your gaze wanders over the picturesque lake and the snow-covered, glittering white landscape of the Zell am See – Kaprun region up to the summit of the glacier at 3,029 meters above sea level.

Not far from the campsite: Zell am See. The center of the picturesque mountain town is just a 15-minute walk away.

Zell am See is the district capital of the largest district in the state of Salzburg, Pinzgau. With around 9,500 inhabitants, it is a really tranquil and cozy mountain town. Here you will find everything you need for your perfect vacation.

During your stay at our campsite, you can request a mobility card: this allows you to travel FREE on all public transport (bus, train) throughout the province of Salzburg during your stay!

Pitches & tent sites

Our campsite offers 130 pitches and around 30 tent pitches.

All our pitches are at least 80 m² in size. Standard pitches include electrical hookups and free Wi-Fi. Premium pitches also offer water and sewage hookups during the summer months (not available in winter).

Around 70 pitches also offer gas hookups, allowing you to camp with us in the winter as well.

The campsite offers an unmarked tent area and marked pitches by the lake.

The sanitary facilities are state-of-the-art. You are also welcome to rent one of the private bathrooms for your pitch.

If you are not traveling with a caravan, camper or tent, you are welcome to stay in one of our camping cabins.

For singles, a couple or friends we offer a cabin for 1-2 people. A hut with up to 4 beds is available for families or several friends.

Zell am See and the region offer every holidaymaker the infrastructure that suits their holiday theme:

Those seeking relaxation will appreciate the homely atmosphere and perfect location of the campsite and the Zeller Basin. Nature invites you to linger and relax.

In addition to the Zeller indoor swimming pool, wellness vacationers enjoy the TauernSpa Kaprun, which offers 12 different swimming pools as well as 10 different saunas and steam baths on an area of more than 20,000 m2. You can pamper yourself in the spa area and restaurant.

Hiking vacationers and climbers are in paradise with us in the Pinzgau mountains. Here you can go on easy beginner and family hikes in the valley and easy hikes in the Pinzgau grass mountains to alpine pastures and summits. But you can also choose from more than 300 three-thousanders in the adjacent “Hohe Tauern National Park”. Climbers will find countless via ferratas and climbing routes in the region.

Ski holidaymakers can choose from the region’s different ski areas. The “Schmitten” in Zell am See offers around 70 kilometers of slopes. The Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang-Fieberbrunn ski area is one of the largest ski areas in Europe with around 280 kilometers of slopes. And the Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski area offers around 61 kilometers of slopes up to almost 3,000 m above sea level almost all year round. In addition, there are several small and fine “ski areas” in the region for beginners or children.

Of course, winter vacationers have countless other exercise and sports options available in Zell am See and the region. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, there are many options, such as winter hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, tobogganing, snow tubing, ice skating, curling and much more. And if you like it romantic, just take a horse-drawn sleigh ride.

“Water lovers” can access bathing and swimming opportunities from the campsite all year round. The lake directly at the campsite offers opportunities for a wide range of water sports. Outdoor pools invite you to “swim with service”. There are countless water sports on, on and in the lake We won’t even list them at this point. And in winter, in addition to ice bathing in the lake, you can of course use the nearby indoor swimming pool or the TauernSpa Kaprun.

Summer vacationers enjoy the exceptionally mild climate in the Zeller Basin. Here you can simply lie down in the sun, do one of the many summer sports or get to know the customs of the region.

Bikers/motorcyclists and sporty bicycle holidaymakers will find the perfect routes in Salzburg’s Pinzgau. Various passes – up to the “Glockner High Alpine Road” at an altitude of more than 2,500 meters – are waiting for you here. The proximity to Carinthia, Tyrol and Bavaria invites you to take many other tours. You can spend the night in the tent you brought with you or in one of our trekking huts!

  Top Stellplatz, direkt am See. Wir waren in der ersten Januarwoche hier. Es waren nur eine Handvoll Mobile hier. Service, Sanitär alles voll in Ordnung. Das Restaurant hatten wir leider nicht getestet. Laut Speisekarte liest es sich aber nach großer Auswahl. Wir kommen wieder!
